Welcome to RogueChain!

Main goal of this game is to try to have fun. As much as it's possible, that is.

Left half of the screen is the Chain Field. Despite it looking like a match-3 game field, it's quite different. You can match any amount of sigils on the board, different shapes and different colours, it doesn't matter much. Every matched rune moves the character on the right side to the direction engraved on it. However, be cautious: every time character hits the wall or opened chest, it loses sanity. When sanity reaches zero, game ends. Whenever you move and change direction, the next cell of your previous direction (indicated by small arrow on player character) will be turned into the wall or, if you managed to create a pure chain (as in made of the same shape/colour runes), next things:

  • Enemy Chain
  • Chest Chain
  • Key Chain
  • Potion Chain

In order to go to the next floor, you need to meet some requirements: collect keys and kill enemies. Spawn key or enemy, collide with them and gather enough resources to enable white chain, that will spawn stairs.

Every rune in chain consumes mana, but be careful to not burn it, it will have very grim consequences and will make your run impossible to finish.

Cool system, too bad you didn't have time to flesh it out. Also chains of 1 stone shouldn't be allowed.

Yeah, it severely lacks polish sadly. Could be a fun game. :\
